St. Mary’s Convent High School, Kanpur hosted its Annual Concert of the Primary Section ‘Fusion di Talenti’ on 16th November 2018. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Priya Saxena, Judicial Magistrate. The programme started with a curtain raiser which highlighted how we can illumine the world with or knowledge and virtues. The next item was the Prayer Dance by which God’s blessings were invoked. The programme ‘Healthy food versus Junk food’ which highlighted the fact that young children should eat healthy to stay fit. The tiny tots of Class I, through the programme ‘The Great Outdoors’ gave the message that the use of electronic gadgets hamper the holistic development of the students and that children should go in for outdoor activities. The students of Mary Ward School, an institution run by SMC for the underprivileged, mesmerized the audience with their programme ‘Udan Ki Asha’ which condemned the practice of Child Labour.The Hindi play ‘Navya Srijan’ depicted the fact that Earth is being destroyed by the activities of the human beings and showed the sufferings of the Kerala flood victims. Through the item ‘Cultural Rhythmic Fusion’, the children of Class III enthralled the audience with their dance moves. ‘Relations Matter’ reflected the importance of relationships in the modern world. The opera item ‘Enchanted World’ transported the audience to the fairyland through the enactment of fairy tales. The school choir had the audience humming to their melodious recital of English and Hindi songs. The programme ended with the little musicians of SMC, who played various tunes to entertain the gathering. The Chief Guest encouraged the students by applauding them on their splendid performance and wished them the very best for their future. The Principal, Sr. Divya CJ proposed the Vote of Thanks and appreciated the hard work of all those who had contributed to the success of the programme.
