St. Mary's convent High school celebrated its Annual sports and PT display on 16 November 2019.
Col- A K Rai SM Adm. Comdt HQ Kanpur was the chief guest for the occasion while reverend sister Roshani CJ the Provincial superior of the Allahabad province was the Guest of Honour. The program commenced with an impressive march past by the four houses. This was followed by oath taking by the game captain shahzadi umme Ruman and the entire student body where in the pledge to play in the true spirit of sportsmanship.
The first PT item was Symphony of Peace in which the students of Classes 1 and 2 showed how the goodness within us to like a candle which eliminates all the darkness within and outside us. The students of classes 3 to 5 through their PT item Vibrant Vibgyor showed how each colour of the the rainbow represented the virtues and qualities that the almighty has imbibed in us. The colourful dropes used as props in this PT made the atmosphere lively. Classes 6 to 8 gave the message that it was important to stay fit and healthy. Using their hooplas, the students also showed the importance of keeping our environment clean.
The athletes proved their mettle on the field by winning various medals for races and other athletic events.
The concluding item was the pyramid formation by the four Houses on themes like development of India in the modern times, rising stars of SMC , tribute to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and our brave soldiers. The human pyramids displayed agility and deftness of the students.
The chief guest lauded the efforts of the students and inspired them to work hard to reach their goal.
In the end, the Principal Sister Divya CJ proposed the Vote of Thanks and praised the teachers and students for making the program a grand success.
